Madani’s big statement
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani was participating in India TV’s special program Aap Ki Adalat on Saturday. Madani said a big thing about girls’ education while answering the questions of India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma in the program Aap Ki Adalat. Madani said that I believe that whether we get freedom from burqa or not, but girls must get freedom of education. Along with this, Madani expressed his opinion on many issues.
Girls must get education- said Madani
In response to a question, he said that if a girl or a woman does not want to wear a hijab, if she walks around bareheaded, then she is not safe. I believe that boys and girls should not study together but girls’ education should not be hampered because of their hijab and quilts. Girls must get education; if possible, separate schools, colleges, medical colleges, universities, engineering colleges can be made for them. They should not be deprived of education. I believe that boys and girls should not be sent to study together. There should be separate education system for both and both should get equal right to education.
Wakf Board should make Muslims of India
Responding to Rajat Sharma’s questions in ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Maulana Madani said, ‘We want the Waqf Board to be formed by the Muslims of India. The law says that the Waqf Board will be formed by the state governments and the Central Waqf Council will be formed by the Central Government. We say that it should be formed like the SGPC. It should be formed the way the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee is formed. Right now the government appoints people of its choice to the Waqf Board, by making selections… There was a need to improve the Waqf Board in the new bill but you are hell-bent on making it worse.’
