Madhya Pradesh: 45 -year -old tribal woman killed in gang rape in Khandwa, two accused arrested

A 45 -year -old tribal woman allegedly victim of gang rape was killed in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. The Madhya Pradesh Police official informed that the incident took place on Saturday (May 24) under the Roshni police post of Khalwa police station in the district. Taking action after the incident, the police have arrested both the accused.

Khandwa Additional Superintendent of Police (Edil Superintendent of Police) Rajesh Raghuvanshi said, “On May 23, there was a wedding ceremony under Roshni police post of Khalwa police station and the victim went to attend the ceremony. After joining the wedding, at around 6:15 pm, he and one of the accused named Hari went to someone’s house to leave her house. After this, the woman came to Hari’s house, after this, another accused Sunil also came. Sunil was seen drinking alcohol. “After this, Hari’s mother saw the victim in an injured state in the morning. He contacted the victim’s family. After which the victim’s family members came and took her home. He did not inform the police or anyone else about the incident. However, the victim told him that Sunil and Hari had raped her.

The police were informed after his death at 2.30 pm on May 24. Acting on the information, the police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem and arrested the accused. ”He said that the case was further investigated. The police officer also told that the deceased told the family members that two persons named Hari and Sunil had forced him.
