The protesters reached the Ramki EnWaro campus in Pithampur, where waste is to be executed. In view of the protest of the people, the local administration implemented Section 163 within the 100 meter radius. The protesters say that they are being made a sacrificial goat to remove poisonous waste from the capital. Seeing the matter growing, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has stopped the waste disposal action at present. Now the government has sought six weeks from the High Court for the decision on waste.
As soon as the garbage of Union Carbide reached Pithampur, a period of protest started. Pithampur Bachao Committee, Pithampur Raksha Manch, Congress, Rathore Samaj, Kshatriya Samaj, Sen Samaj, Tribal Samaj, All Trade Union and other organizations staged demonstrations. As long as this waste is not verified on a technical and scientific basis, it should be stopped under any circumstances.

On the other hand, the BJP has thrown the strength of its workers to deal with demonstrations and protests in Pithampur. Party workers are working to awaken trust in people about burning garbage. Apart from the division -wise meetings, these workers are trying to remove the displeasure of the people.

In front of the Division Bench of the High Court, the government said that due to wrong information, the situation in Pithampur deteriorated and the situation worsened. The government now sought six weeks from the court. On this, the division bench of Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Vivek Jain accepted the demand of the government and now the next hearing is to be held on 18 February.
The BJP government of the state claims that the waste has been taken to Pithampur by taking care of security parameters in view of the court orders. Action to eliminate waste will be taken under the supervision of all concerned teams along with Central Pollution Control Board, Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board. Now the government says that it will put public sentiments before the Honorable Court on the execution of waste and on the basis of that, a decision will be taken later.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that he will bring the subject before the Hon’ble Court and will move forward on any action by order of the court. He says that after 40 years of Bhopal gas accident, the harmful effects of about 337 metric tonnes of waste kept in Bhopal have been over. He said that more than 60 percent of the remaining waste is only local soil, 7-inserts in 40 percent, reactor residue and semi processed pesticide waste.
