Voting is to be held for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra on November 20. Counting of votes for Maharashtra Assembly elections will also take place on November 23. In 2019, undivided Shiv Sena and BJP contested the elections together and won majority, but Uddhav Thackeray laid claim to the post of CM. Due to which his relations with BJP broke. After this, Uddhav became CM with the help of Congress and Sharad Pawar’s NCP, but his Shiv Sena broke with Pawar’s NCP. Then the Election Commission gave the real Shiv Sena election symbol to Eknath Shinde’s faction and also ordered Ajit Pawar to give the real NCP’s clock election symbol.
