New Delhi. The BJP government of Delhi has announced to start the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana to give Rs 2500 to the poor women of the capital every month. CM Rekha Gupta decided to implement Mahila Samriddhi Yojana in the cabinet meeting. For this, the Delhi government has also kept Rs 5100 crore this year. The poor women of Delhi hoped that the first installment of Rs 2500 would come to their bank account on International Women’s Day on March 8, but it did not happen. Sources in the Delhi government to the Hindi newspaper Hindustan told that the government of Rekha Gupta will first decide who needs financial assistance and who should be given Rs 2500. Apart from this, a committee of 4 ministers including CM Rekha Gupta has also been formed to decide the terms of Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Sources told the newspaper that earlier the Women and Child Development Department had set certain conditions, but CM Rekha Gupta does not agree with it. CM Rekha Gupta believes that only 2500 rupees should be given to BPL card holders under Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Apart from this, the Delhi government wants to get the information given by the Delhi registration. According to sources, Mahila Samriddhi Yojana may be implemented from April.
CM Rekha Gupta has decided to launch a portal to implement Delhi’s Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. Poor women will be registered through this portal. To take advantage of Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, the concerned beneficiary must have BPL card, Aadhaar card, PAN card and bank account. Also, a woman doing job or income tax will not get benefit. Other government schemes will also not get the benefit of Mahila Samriddhi Yojana. The scheme is to be implemented for poor women from 18 to 60 years.
