New Delhi. Mahashivaratri festival is the last day of Mahakumbh. Due to this, a large number of devotees are expected to reach Prayagraj tomorrow. Although the devotees continue to reach Mahakumbh continuously, but tomorrow a record number of devotees will take a Sangam bath and leave Mahakumbh. It is feared that more than three crore devotees may take a dip of faith in Sangam on Mahashivratri on 26 February. At the same time, the police and administration have also geared up for Mahashivaratri festival. The entire Kumbh Mela area has been declared a no vehicle zone.

Kumbh Mela DIG Vaibhav Krishna informed that security arrangements are strict in Prayagraj for Shivaratri ‘Snan’, police have been deployed at various places. Police will be deployed in every Shiva temple in Kumbh Mela area. Police have also been deployed everywhere to ensure traffic smoothly. Police forces have also been deployed at the ghats to ensure that devotees can take a holy bath without any problem.

The entire Kumbh Mela area has been declared a no vehicle zone. However, the vehicles carrying essential goods will be exempted. The devotees have been requested to take a bath at the ghat near them wherever they are and visit the nearby pagoda and leave for their destination. Pantoon bridges will be operated according to mob pressure. Holding area has been created for passengers outside the railway station. Free food for devotees has also been arranged by the administration.
