Triveni Sangam is the holy place where Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati meet. It is considered the center of attaining salvation and purification of the soul. In the scriptures, bathing in Sangam has been described as the path to freedom from all sins and spiritual progress. In this sequence, the Chief Minister and all the members of his cabinet first offered prayers at Triveni Sankul in Arail. Thereafter, after reaching Sangam via motorboat, bath was completed with ritual chanting of mantras and havan. Along with the Chief Minister, both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, Lakshmi Narayan Chaudhary, All 21 ministers including Dharampal and Anil Rajbhar and the rest with independent charges and ministers of state duly took bath and worship in the Sangam.

Earlier in 2019 too, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with his entire cabinet had taken a dip of faith in the Sangam during the Kumbh organized at Tirtharaj Prayagraj. Then, along with the Chief Minister and the entire cabinet, Akhara Parishad President Narendra Giri and other saints also took a holy bath in the stream of Sangam.

Earlier, Yogi government also organized a cabinet meeting in Mahakumbh. All 54 ministers of the UP government were called in the meeting. This meeting was organized at Triveni Sankul in Arail. To avoid inconvenience to the devotees coming to take bath in Sangam, it was decided to hold the meeting in Arail. Earlier this meeting was to be held in the auditorium of the fair authority, but keeping all the aspects in mind, later the place of the meeting was changed, because if the meeting of ministers is held in the auditorium of the fair authority, then due to VIP security, the devotees would face problems.
