Prayagraj is all set to host Mahakumbh 2025, which will begin from January 13 and continue till February 26. As part of the security arrangements, Uttar Pradesh Police will implement a seven-level security plan to prevent any untoward incident at the religious gathering.
Apart from this, the police have also launched an intensive checking operation to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of Mahakumbh 2025. More than 2,700 L-capable cameras have also been installed to enhance security.
The state government has also deployed 125 road ambulances and seven river ambulances especially for the Maha Kumbh.
Speaking to ANI, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “125 road ambulances have been equipped with 15 Advanced Life Support (ALS). Additionally, air ambulances and seven river ambulances have also been deployed. Seven river ambulances Of these, you will see one of them being deployed today and the rest will be deployed from tomorrow. The government has made appropriate arrangements to deal with any kind of situation.”
Meanwhile, as the much-awaited Maha Kumbh Mela approaches, an atmosphere of spiritual enthusiasm and devotion has prevailed in Prayagraj.
Sadhus from many major Akharas including Niranjani Akhara, Atal Akhara, Mahanirvani Akhara, Ahwan Akhara, Juna Akhara, the largest Akhara of the Sanyasi tradition, have already reached the camp site.
Mahakumbh is being celebrated after 12 years and more than 45 crore devotees are expected to attend this event. During Maha Kumbh, devotees will gather at the confluence of rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati to take a holy dip, which is believed to destroy sins and lead to moksha (salvation). Mahakumbh will conclude on 26th February.
The main bathing ritual (Shahi Snan) of Kumbh will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya) and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
