Mahakumbh stampede: Prime Minister Modi expresses grief, updated from Yogi Adityanath for moment

Many people have been reported to have been reported due to a stampede situation after millions of devotees on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in the Mahakumbh Mela in the early hours of Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also taking updates from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the status of Kumbh Mela. PM Modi has also expressed grief over this stampede.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The incident in Prayagraj Mahakumbh is extremely tragic. In this, my deep condolences to the devotees who have lost their families. Along with this, I wish all the injured to get well soon. Local administration victims I am busy with all possible help. In this regard, I have talked to Chief Minister Yogi ji and I am constantly in touch with the state government. “

Earlier, Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Governor Anandiben Patel are also constantly taking reports of the situation. The Chief Minister said, “The Prime Minister has taken stock of the situation four times so far. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Governor Anandiben Patel are also constantly taking reports of the situation.”

It is worth noting that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the devotees on ‘X’ that those who are near the ghat of Maa Ganga, take a bath there and do not try to go to Sangam Nose. The Chief Minister said that all the devotees should follow the instructions of the administration, cooperate in creating arrangements and do not pay attention to any rumor.

Special Executive Officer Akanksha Rana told reporters for the fair that the barrier broke on Sangam Nose created a stampede -like situation in which some people were injured and they are currently undergoing treatment. He said that nobody’s condition is serious.

The injured have been admitted to the hospital established in the fair area where relatives of several injured have also reached. Ambulances and sirens of police vehicles were heard from loudspeakers in the Kumbh region amidst the vowels of mantras and shlokas. The incident is being reported to be around two o’clock in the night.

Meanwhile, the first arena reached to bathe the nectar, the first arena, Mahanirvani returned without bathing. All India Akhara Parishad President Ravindra Puri told reporters, “The Akhara Parishad decided that today we will not bathe all the Akhara Amrit.”

Mahant Ravindra Puri told the journalists, “All the saints had a throne for the Mahatmas and all the saints including Naga ascetics were ready for bathing. When we came to hear that an incident had happened, then we decided in the public interest that we will not take a bath of Mauni Amavasya today. “

He told, “We saw in mobile that such an accident happened. We also came to know about this from the officials. All our akharas have decided that we will not take a bath of Mauni Amavasya.

Mahant Ravindra Puri said, “Our next bath will be on Basant Panchami. You must be seeing that devotees from abroad from all four directions are reaching here. It is a big thing to control such a large crowd. All saintly saints will have to take decisions for public interest. At the same time, devotees should maintain restraint and those who have taken a bath should return their destinations. ”

According to the tradition of Kumbh Mela, sannyasis, Bairagi and indifferent akhadas reach the Sangam coast with a grand procession and take a nectar bath in a fixed order in which Panchayati Akhara Mahanirvani takes bath in the first place in order.

Earlier, the fair administration issued counseling for devotees on Tuesday itself. Senior Superintendent of Police (Kumbh) Rajesh Dwivedi urged the devotees that all the ghats are Sangam Ghats and take a bath there. He appealed to the devotees to avoid rumors.

It is noteworthy that 4.83 crore people took a bath till 8 pm on Tuesday, one day before Mauni Amavasya, while earlier on Makar Sankranti, 3.5 crore people took a dip in the confluence on Paush Purnima and 1.7 crore on Paush Purnima.
