Despite this, if the NDA alliance with BJP does not seem to be getting an edge over Hemant Soren’s JMM, then the party will definitely consider this issue after the full results are out. However, if BJP’s NDA alliance had won the assembly elections in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand, it would have dealt a major blow to the Congress-led Indian alliance. Now that both the alliances seem to be getting power in one state each, the NDA and INDI alliances may continue to face each other. However, not being able to gain power in Maharashtra will be considered a major weakness of the Congress-led Indi alliance. Because it had given a strong defeat to NDA in the Lok Sabha elections.
