Mumbai There seems to be progress towards the formation of a new Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. Earlier news had come that Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde has agreed to the post of Deputy CM in the grand alliance government. Now the latest news has come about the swearing-in. Quoting sources, news channel Aaj Tak has told that on December 5, Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the head of the new government of Maharashtra i.e. CM. Along with him, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar are also going to take oath as Deputy CM. Apart from these three, no one else will be sworn in for the Mahayuti government of Maharashtra on December 5. The names of the ministers will be finalized later and they will be administered the oath of office. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde informed the media about his health.

According to the news channel, BJP will have departments like Home and Revenue. The post of Maharashtra Assembly Speaker will also be given to BJP. At the same time, Eknath Shinde will get urban development. Ajit Pawar will also be given some departments. BJP has appointed Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani as observers for its legislature party meeting. The meeting of BJP’s legislative party in Maharashtra is to be held tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday. According to sources, Devendra Fadnavis’s name will be approved in this meeting. Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule has already announced that the grand alliance government will take oath on December 5 at Azad Maidan in Mumbai.
Mahayuti has performed tremendously in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. In the contest with Mahavikas Aghadi for 288 seats, BJP on behalf of Mahayuti won 132 seats. At the same time, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena won 57 seats. Ajit Pawar’s NCP captured 41 seats. Whereas, Uddhav Thackeray’s party got the maximum 20 seats in Mahavikas Aghadi. At the same time, Sharad Pawar’s NCP faction could win only 10 seats. The situation is that no leader of any opposition party will be able to get the post of Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly.
