New Delhi. A major aircraft accident was averted at Mumbai Airport today. At the time of landing, Air India’s aircraft slipped on the runway due to which all three tires of the aircraft burst. According to preliminary investigation, the time the aircraft was landing, it was raining heavy rains, due to which the aircraft slipped. The engine of the aircraft is also said to have some damage. It is a matter of relief that no passenger or crew member was hurt. All the people on the aircraft are safe. Air India flight AI2744 flew from Kochi to Mumbai.
The runway has also suffered some damage due to slipping of the aircraft. The work is being done to get it immediately corrected. This incident is reported to be around 9.27 am. Soon after the incident, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s emergency team of International Airport became active and went to its aircraft and took all the passengers and crew members down from the safe aircraft. In this regard, a statement has been issued by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
It is reported that the flight AI2744 was landing on the main runway 09/27. The repair work is going on in the main runway and the secondary runway 14/32 has been started operating for smooth operation of other aircraft. It has been said by the Airport Authority that the safety of passengers is always our top priority. The information about how many passengers were riding in the aircraft have not been given at the moment. At the same time, the aircraft is being examined by the engineers. After a thorough investigation, if any kind of malfunction comes out in the aircraft, this aircraft will be brought into operation after improvement.
