Kolkata. There are chances of tension again between West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and BJP. BJP has announced that it will build a grand Ram temple in Murshidabad, West Bengal. In fact, just a few days ago, Mamata Banerjee’s TMC MLA Humayun Kabir had given a statement about building Babri Masjid in Murshidabad, West Bengal. Humayun Kabir had said that the Babri Masjid to be built in Murshidabad would be very grand. In response to this, BJP has now said that it will build Ram temple. BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul, however, said that the announcement of building Ram temple has nothing to do with Humayun Kabir’s statement. Agnimitra Paul also alleged that Humayun Kabir many times made statements provoking the Hindu community, but no action was taken against the TMC MLA. Agnimitra Paul also said that Mamata Banerjee is creating another Bangladesh for her vote bank.
BJP MLA from Medinipur Agnimitra Paul has strongly targeted Mamata Banerjee.
The tension between BJP and Mamata Banerjee is not new. BJP has been continuously trying to oust Mamata Banerjee from power in West Bengal, but it is facing failure in this. In such a situation, BJP accuses Mamata Banerjee’s TMC of being anti-Hindu. Besides, BJP continues to corner Mamata Banerjee by accusing her of illegal infiltration and Muslim appeasement. Now, if the issue of Ram Mandir vs Babri Masjid heats up, then a period of fresh tension may begin between Mamata Banerjee’s TMC and BJP. BJP has already accused Mamata Banerjee of being an opponent of Lord Ram.
At the same time, Mamata Banerjee has also made her political move. Mamata Banerjee had recently informed about the commencement of the work of building a grand Jagannath temple in Digha near Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee reached Digha and also saw the work. At the same time, BJP leader and leader of opposition in the state assembly, Subhendu Adhikari, claims that Jagannath temple is not being built in Digha. Mamta Banerjee is building a study center in its place. In such a situation, the politics of TMC vs BJP has heated up in West Bengal on this issue also.
