There has been a conflict between the Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur for more than a year. The Meitei community started protesting against a decision of the Manipur High Court regarding reservation and only after this there was an incident of conflict with the Kuki community. During this, a video of two women of the Kuki community being paraded naked went viral. After this, the opposition strongly targeted the Modi government and the BJP.
