Actually, when Manish Sisodia was a minister in the Delhi government, he was allotted bungalow number AB-17 located on Mathura Road. After this, after being jailed in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam case, he resigned from the post, after which this bungalow was allotted in the name of Delhi Government Cabinet Minister Atishi. However, Atishi had not shifted to this bungalow and was living in her private residence. Atishi had said that since Sisodia is in jail and his wife is ill, Sisodia’s family will stay in bungalow number AB-17. Now after Atishi became the Chief Minister of Delhi, the CM residence has been allotted in her name, which is why Sisodia has now had to vacate this bungalow and shift to the bungalow of MP Harbhajan Singh.
Meanwhile, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also vacate the CM’s official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road on Friday. After vacating the CM residence, Kejriwal will live in the government residence at 5 Ferozshah Road in Lutyens Zone. This bungalow is allotted in the name of Aam Aadmi Party MP Ashok Mittal. Let us tell you that government houses are not allotted to MLAs in Delhi, this facility is available only to ministers. After resigning, Kejriwal and Sisodia are now only MLAs, hence the government houses allotted in their names have been cancelled.
