According to an official statement, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend the Janmashtami celebrations in Mathura on Saturday. The Chief Minister will offer prayers at the birthplace of Shri Krishna and will also plant a plant in the campus.

Officials say that heavy security arrangements have been made at Vrindavan and other pilgrimage centers like Mathura.
