On the one hand, opposition from some Muslim organizations and other opposition parties, including the Congress, is going on, while many people of Maulana and Muslim community are taking its favor. Now Maulana Shahabuddin Rajvi Barelvi, the national president of the All India Muslim Jamaat, has supported its benefits, supporting the Waqf law. He clearly said, there is no harm to Muslims from the Waqf Amendment Act, but it benefits them.

The income from Waqf’s land will help the poor, weak, helpless Muslims. Our elders made a waqf with this purpose. But according to the intention, the work was not being done, so the Waqf was amended. This amendment will prevent corruption. Hospitals, schools, colleges, madrasas, yatimkhana etc. will be built on Waqf land. Poor children will be educated for free. Maulana Barelvi said that some political people are engaged in scaring and seduction of Muslims. He says that the Waqf Amendment Act threatens mosques and madrasas.

Maulana Barelvi assured the Muslims and said that I want to clarify you that nothing like this is written in this amendment bill. There is no threat to madrasas, mosques, Idgahs, dargahs, cemeteries. He called upon the people not to get misled by political people and stay away from fierce performance. Maulana Barelvi said that earlier when the CAA law came, these political people provoked Muslims that it would take away the citizenship of Muslims, but no Muslim citizenship was taken in the whole of India. CAA is not a law to snatch citizenship but to give citizenship. Maulana said that after a few days, when the reality comes to the fore, everyone will know that the Waqf law is in favor of Muslims.
