New Delhi. Activities regarding government formation have intensified in Maharashtra. On Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Varsha Bungalow. According to sources, during this time both the leaders discussed the preparations for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on December 5. Fadnavis also inquired about Shinde’s health. It is noteworthy that Eknath Shinde had recently fallen ill and was taken to Jupiter Hospital in Thane for checkup.
After coming out of the hospital, Shinde while talking to the media said, “I had come for the test. My health is fine.” After this he sat in his car and left. This was Shinde’s first meeting with Fadnavis after his health deteriorated. Shinde had gone to his village Satara for some time and returned to Mumbai on Monday. Earlier, Shinde and other leaders had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. But due to Shinde’s ill health, the Mahayuti meeting in Mumbai was postponed.

Girish Mahajan and Uday Samant also met
Before meeting Fadnavis, senior BJP leader Girish Mahajan also met Shinde. This was Mahajan’s second meeting within 24 hours. At the same time, Shinde faction leader Uday Samant had also met Fadnavis recently.
Division of ministries a topic of discussion between Mahayuti
The results of the assembly elections in Maharashtra were declared on 23 November, in which Mahayuti got an overwhelming majority. Despite this, it took time to form the government. The picture regarding the distribution of ministries and the post of Chief Minister among the three parties of the Grand Alliance—BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), and NCP (Ajit Pawar faction)—is not yet clear.
