PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday met the families of the victims killed in Pakistan’s shelling on unarmed citizens in Poonch. Pakistan launched a target attack on the Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir, targeting the houses of a gurudwara and Sikh community members in Poonch. At least three people were killed in that special attack.
Citizens in Jammu and Kashmir faced a lot of trouble in Jammu and Kashmir after the accurate attacks carried out by India under Operation Sindoor. Pakistani shelling caused panic among the villagers and damaged many houses. The evil civic infrastructure, glass of broken windows, broken walls and debris scattered in the streets of the village were shown.
A school was also targeted in Pakistan’s shelling and two students lost their lives. Had there been students inside the school, a large number of innocent people could have lost their lives. During heavy shelling on the Line of Control on the morning of 7 May, a Gola, which was fired by Pakistan, fell right behind the Christ School run by the Carmelights of Mary Imaculate at Poonch.
The Gola fired by Pakistan was installed at the house of two students of Christ School. Unfortunately, both students died and their parents were seriously injured. Another Pakistani Gola fell on the convent of the Christian nuns belonging to the mother of carmel’s congregation, which damaged the water tanks and destroyed the solar panel infrastructure. The waters of the Christian nine belonged to the other Pakistani Gola Mother of Carmel, which collapsed on the convent The panel structure was destroyed.
During the shelling of Pakistan, many clergy, nuns, school staff and local residents took refuge in an underground hall under the Christ School. Narinder Singh, chairman of the district gurudwara manager committee, said on 7 May that the fire of Pakistani army has caused heavy damage in the civilian areas of Poonch, killing many people and fell into a ball of Gurdwara. And a Gola also fell on the mosque, killing a teacher present in the mosque.
