The month of October is considered very special for changes in the weather. This month the monsoon clouds disappear from all parts of the country. Situation worsens in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. On the other hand, heavy rains since late night in many parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh have worsened the situation. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rain in many states of the country.

According to IMD, rain may continue in many states in the next few days. IMD has warned of heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Coastal Karnataka, Interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Alert of torrential rain from 8 to 11 October
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains will continue in many states from October 8 to 11. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, South and Coastal Karnataka on October 8. Along with this, warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on October 9 also. Similarly, on October 11, there may be heavy rain in Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

According to IMD, rain alert has been issued in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. These include Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar and Jaunpur. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light rain in Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia and Deoria.
