The common man, troubled by inflation, has suffered another setback. Mother Dairy has announced an increase in milk prices by Rs 2 per liter from 30 April 2025. This increase will be applicable in all areas including Delhi-NCR where mother dairy products are sold.
Why increased prices?
Officials of Mother Dairy said that the purchase cost of milk has increased by Rs 4-5 per liter in the last few months. Due to this it was necessary to make a partial increase in prices. The company says that this will also help in the income of farmers and will continue to supply quality milk to consumers.
Sales of 35 lakh liters of milk per day
Mother Dairy sells about 35 lakh liters of milk per day in Delhi-NCR. This milk is transported to consumers through their booths, shops and online platforms.
Did the officials of Mother Dairy say?
A senior company official said:
“We are trying to balance the livelihood of farmers between supporting the livelihood and giving good milk to consumers. This is a partial change in prices to adjust the rising cost to some extent.”
