Ranchi: Bollywood star and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty’s purse was stolen while campaigning in Jharkhand. According to the information, Mithun Chakraborty had gone to the election rally of BJP candidate Aparna Sen Gupta in Nirsa assembly constituency. While a huge crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood star, Mithun became the target of pickpockets and his wallet was stolen during the rally.
Appeal to return the purse from the stage
A video of BJP’s rally is going viral on social media. In this, a party member can be heard addressing the gathering and requesting the crowd and the people present on the stage to return Mithun Chakraborty’s wallet. It is being asked through the mic from the stage that whoever in the crowd has taken Mithun da’s purse should return it. This is not the culture of Jharkhand.
Public meeting was being held in Kalia Soul
According to the information, Mithun had gone to address a public meeting in Kalia Saul in support of BJP candidate Aparna Sen Gupta in Nirsa assembly area of Dhanbad district on Tuesday. BJP’s star campaigner Mithun Chakraborty, who had come to campaign in Nirsa assembly constituency, was pickpocketed by someone in the crowd.
Congress took a jibe
At the same time, Congress has taken a dig at Mithun’s purse theft. Bihar Congress has shared a video from its X handle. It is written in the tweet that ‘Disco Dancer Mithun Chakraborty’s wallet stolen from BJP stage’. At the same time, no official statement has come out from BJP in this regard yet. Along with this, there is no information about any FIR being registered.
Elections will be held in two phases
Let us tell you that assembly elections will be held in two phases in Jharkhand on 13th and 20th November. While campaigning for the first phase has ended, campaigning for the second phase is in full swing. Counting of votes in Jharkhand will take place on November 23.
