New Delhi. The Narendra Modi cabinet has once again taken a big decision in the interest of the farmers of the country. A proposal to increase the MSP of Kharif crops has been approved in the cabinet meeting. In the meeting held today, 5 important decisions were taken, out of which farmers along with common people will also benefit. This year the MSP of paddy will be Rs 2369 per quintal, which is Rs 69 more than the previous. Similarly, MSP of Grade A paddy has been kept at Rs 2389 per quintal. Hybrid tide MSP has been fixed at Rs 3699, Maladandi Jowar MSP 3699 has been fixed. At the same time, the best increase in the MSP of pulses has taken place in Arhar Dal. MSP of Arhar Dal has been increased by Rs 450 this year to Rs 8000 per quintal this year as against Rs 7550 per quintal.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave detailed information about the decision taken in the meeting. He said that in the last 10-11 years, MSP has been increased drastically for kharif crops. The MSP for the year 2025-26 is again approved by the cabinet. The total amount for this is estimated to cost an additional cost of about Rs 2,07,000 crore. 50 percent margin has been taken into consideration with costs for each crop.

The Union Cabinet has approved the interest aid scheme. The Kisan Credit Card was launched while Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the Prime Minister. This has made it very easy for farmers to get working capital. The cost of working capital has come down through the interest aid scheme. In this scheme, arrangements have been made to get loans up to Rs 2 lakh at 4 percent interest for farmers.

The Union Minister said that approval has also been received to quadruple the Ratlam-Nagada railway line. This is an important project as it will connect the Delhi-Mumbai Corridor. This Ratlam Junction in Madhya Pradesh is important from the point of view of all four directions. Also, Wardha-Ballarshah railway line will also be given four lanes. The project is 135 km and will invest 2,381 crores.

Apart from this, the Modi cabinet has also approved the construction of the Fourlane Badwell-Nellar highway from Badvel-Gopavaram village (NH-67) to Gurvindpudi (NH-16) in Andhra Pradesh. The total length of this forelane route will be 108.134 km and it will cost 3653.10 crores to be built.
