Kolkata High Court gave a major blow to Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami. The court ordered him an allowance of Rs 4 lakh every month to his separate wife Haseen Jahan and his daughter. In this, Haseen will get 1.5 lakhs and his daughter will get 2.5 lakh rupees. This decision was pronounced by Justice Ajay Kumar Mukherjee on 1 July 2025. Hasin described it as the best moment of his life.
Haseen Jahan said, “I was the first model and a cheerleader of Kolkata Knight Riders. Shami forced me to quit his job after marriage. I loved her very much, so I accepted to be a housewife.” He accused Shami of attempting to ruin his life. Hasin said, “I fought a long legal battle from 2018 to 2024. This is my victory.”
Shami and Haseen were married in 2014. His daughter Ayra was born in 2015. In 2018, Haseen lodged an FIR against Shami and his family at Jadavpur police station. He accused Shami of domestic violence, dowry harassment and match fixing. Hasin claimed that Shami had taken money from a Pakistani woman. This stopped Shami’s BCCI Central contract, but later proved innocent in the investigation.
In 2018, Alipur court ordered Shami to give Rs 1.3 lakh (for 50,000 Hasin and 80,000 daughters). Hasin appealed to the High Court by calling it low. He asked for 7 lakhs for himself and 3 lakh daughters. The court fixed 4 lakhs in view of Shami’s income.
Haseen’s lawyer Imtiaz Ahmed said, “This amount can be increased to 6 lakhs.” The court said that if Shami wants, you can provide additional help for the daughter’s education. This case can affect Shami’s image and career.
