New Delhi. Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal is constantly under fire on the issue of women safety after the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. Meanwhile, a case of molestation of a minor girl has come to light in Bengal Madhyamgram. People got angry over this incident and vandalized the house of the accused. Not only this, the angry mob also attacked the shop of a relative of the accused. Due to the anger of the people, the situation started getting out of control, after which lathi charge was required. The police had to remove the people from there by using lathis. After this, the police arrested the accused. At the same time, BJP leader Amit Malviya targeted the Mamata Banerjee government through a social media post.

The first day of September, 2024 in West Bengal begins with four reported cases of sexual assault, the BJP leader wrote.
1. Nurse molested at Lamabazar health centre in Birbhum, a man named Sheikh Abbasuddin forcefully touched her private parts while she was on night duty. Mamata Banerjee will blame the nurse for working at night instead of making the workplace safe for women.
2. Rape of a minor in Bhajanghat, Krishnaganj, Nadia.
3. A TMC panchayat member in Madhyamgram molested a minor studying in class two.
4. A girl was sexually assaulted in the CT scanner room of Howrah Sadar Hospital last night.
Malviya said that West Bengal is the most unsafe state for women thanks to Mamata Banerjee. She has done nothing to enforce stringent rules and set up fast track courts to punish the accused in rape and POCSO cases. She is an unmitigated disaster as a chief minister and should resign.
