New Delhi. The charge sheet of the ED filed in the money laundering case related to the National Herald was heard in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court today. The ED said in the court that prima facie a case is made against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. During this time, the court also asked the ED many questions about the charge sheet. On April 15, the ED filed a charge sheet against Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, Indian Opposition Congress President Sam Pitroda, Suman Dubey, Sunil Bhandari, accused. Taking cognizance of the charge sheet, the court issued a notice to all of them on May 2.

The court also issued a notice to Messrs Young India and Messrs Dotex Merchandise Private Limited. The ED argued in the court and said that the ownership of the Young India Company has always been with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. Both of them are the largest share holders of the company and have 38-38 percent shares. According to the ED, Young India has never had any kind of business activity, through which only Sonia and Rahul Gandhi were benefited.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared as a lawyer on behalf of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, demanded the hearing of the case by July. He told the court that he has received a copy of the charge sheet recently, he should be given time to read and understand it. On the other hand, Additional Solishter General SY Raju protested against Singhvi’s demand and said that a copy of the charge sheet was given only on the last hearing. At that time no objection was expressed, we are ready for the case hearing today.
