With the help of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), free treatment is being arranged for elderly citizens. This is a health insurance scheme for all the elderly in which they will be provided financial assistance for treatment in old age. The version of this scheme has been expanded under which health services are also being provided to the elderly.
Help is being provided to more than 2.16 lakh beneficiaries
In this regard, information has been given by the officials that more than 2.16 lakh beneficiaries have been given this benefit. Cards have been provided to so many new people. According to the National Health Authority till November 7, cards have been given to about 90 thousand people so far.
This card has been made to 53,000 people in Madhya Pradesh and 47,000 people in Uttar Pradesh. Let us tell you that under this scheme, financial assistance up to ₹ 500000 will be provided to the people enrolled for treatment, for which no income limit has been fixed.
