More than 45 schools in Delhi received threats of bombing on Friday morning, after which panic spread among students and parents. Officials said the Delhi Police and various quick response authority are active in the search and withdrawal operations.
This is the fourth day this week when there have been threats to bomb the schools in the national capital.
Police and fire department personnel are engaged in the process of vacating various schools. They are accompanied by bomb disposal squad and dog squad.
So far Pitampura’s Maxfort Junior School and Guru Nanak School; Dwarka’s six schools – St. Thomas School, GD Goenka School, DIS Age School, Modern International School, Dwarka International School and La Pette Montessori; Richmond School and Doon Public School of West Vihar; Rohini’s six schools – Sector 3’s MRG School, Delhi Public School, Sovereign Public School and Heritage Public School of Sector 24, Delhi International Public School in Sector 9, Abhinav Public School in Sector 3 and The Heritage School; South Delhi’s Summerfield International School has received threats to bomb.
Other schools include Bharti Public School of Health Vihar, Hamdard Public School of Sangam Vihar, St. Xavier’s Senior Secondary School of Raj Niwas, North Delhi Public School of Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi Public School of Vikas Puri, Meera Nursery School of Janakpuri’s Meera Nursery School, Puccense School, Sadiq Nagar’s The Indian School, Mathura Road of Mathura Road, Delhi Public School, Tilak Lang.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the matter. He said, “Today more than 20 schools have been threatened with bombing! Just think what situation the children, parents and teachers must be going through. ”
Atishi said in a post on ‘X’, “BJP has control over all four engines of governance in Delhi, yet it is not able to provide security to our children! This is surprising. ”
Several security agencies on Thursday had drilled mock drills at 10 places to investigate preparations to deal with any emergency.
