No right to disturb law and order – CM Sukhu
On the protests over the illegal construction of a mosque in Sanjauli, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said, ‘We have no intention to disturb any community. We will not allow any incident to happen in the state. Political protests keep happening, but no political worker has any right to disturb the law and order in the state. Our local MLA and ministers are talking there.’
You will not be allowed to take the law into your own hands
On Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said, ‘According to the Constitution, anyone can live anywhere in India. We have to ensure that no person from any community is harassed. We will fulfill this responsibility well. No one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.’

Let us tell you that Hindu right-wing organizations held a massive protest at Chaura Maidan near the Vidhan Sabha on Thursday and demanded the demolition of an illegal mosque in Sanjauli. Rumit Singh Thakur, president of the Dev Bhoomi Regional Organization, had called upon the Sanatanis to gather in Shimla. He said that people from across the state responded positively to his call and demonstrated ‘Sanatan unity’.
Demand to demolish the mosque
The protest on Thursday was triggered by the attack on a businessman in the Malana area on September 1, allegedly by some members of the Muslim community. Soon after the incident, people gathered in the Malana area outside Sanjauli and demanded the demolition of a mosque there.
