New Delhi. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has to appear at the Lokayukta office for questioning tomorrow i.e. Wednesday morning on the summons of Lokayukta police in the Muda scam. Now the Chief Minister himself has reacted on this. On being summoned by Lokayukta, CM Siddaramaiah says, yes I will attend the hearing tomorrow at 10 am. The Muda scam has become a noose around the neck of the Chief Minister of Karnataka. Along with the Chief Minister, his wife and other family members are also named in this scam. However, both the Chief Minister and Congress do not consider it a scam. He says that all the allegations are baseless and political.

My wife’s land was acquired by Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and another land was given in exchange of that acquired land, what is wrong in this. Whereas the CM is accused of deliberately getting his land acquired by MUDA and in return getting the land allotted to him which was many times more expensive than the land price. In this matter, from Lokayukta to ED, everyone’s eyes are on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. First of all, the Governor had given permission to Lokayukta to investigate this matter against the CM and his family. The CM approached the High Court against this order but his petition was rejected.
After not getting relief from the High Court, a case was registered against the CM by the Lokayukta. A few days later, ED has also registered a case under PMLA and started investigation. BJP and its ally JDS in Karnataka are raising this issue vigorously. If the allegations are found true in the investigation, then action can also be taken against the CM. Let us tell you that on Monday itself, Lokayukta Police has sent a summons to the CM to appear for questioning.
