Lucknow. Today is the second death anniversary of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mulayam Singh Yadav died on 10 October 2022. After the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Modi government also gave him the Padma Vibhushan award. Along with being the CM of UP, Mulayam Singh Yadav was also the founder of Samajwadi Party. Mulayam Singh Yadav was a teacher and entered politics. Mulayam Singh soon gained name in politics in UP. He became the Cooperation Minister in UP. Mulayam Singh Yadav reached Parliament by winning UP Assembly elections 8 times and Lok Sabha elections 7 times. Mulayam Singh Yadav was CM in UP thrice. Mulayam Singh Yadav was also the Defense Minister of the country in the opposition government. During his tenure as Defense Minister, he had said that the biggest threat to India was not from Pakistan but from China. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s first wife was Malti Devi. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s son Akhilesh Yadav is from him. Akhilesh Yadav’s wife is Dimple Yadav. Akhilesh was also the CM of UP once and is currently a Lok Sabha MP. Dimple Yadav is also an MP. Mulayam Singh Yadav married Sadhna Gupta for the second time in 2003, several years after the death of Malti Devi. The name of Mulayam Singh and Sadhna’s son is Prateek Yadav. Prateek’s wife Aparna Yadav is a BJP leader.
Mulayam Singh Yadav made his son Akhilesh Yadav the CM of UP in 2012. After this he became marginalized in politics. Then in 2022, Mulayam Singh Yadav started having urine infection and difficulty in breathing. Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s illness progressed and he died on 10 October 2022.
