AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi
New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has posted related to Muslims on his X handle. He has said, ‘Muslims have been made untouchable in India. Mass boycott of 15 Muslim families is being done in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Chamoli traders have threatened that Muslims will have to leave Chamoli by 31st December. If landlords give houses to Muslims, they will have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000.
What else did Owaisi say?
Owaisi said, ‘This is the same Uttarakhand where the government is implementing Uniform Civil Code in the name of equality. Don’t the Muslims of Chamoli have the right to live with equality and respect? If Modi can hug the Arab Sheikhs, he can also embrace the Muslims of Chamoli. After all, Modi is the Prime Minister of India, not of Saudi or Dubai.
Whom will Owaisi support in UP by-elections?
Earlier, after the announcement of by-election dates in Uttar Pradesh, Asaduddin Owaisi had made it clear whom he would support. Samajwadi Party had performed well in the state in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. In such a situation, the by-elections being held here are also very important for the ruling BJP and the parties sitting in opposition. For this reason, all the parties would like to prove that the people are with them by winning here. In such a situation, the stance of Asaduddin Owaisi’s party has also become very important.
On Uttar Pradesh by-elections, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “We will contest these elections along with our sister Dr. Pallavi Patel (Apna Dal, Kamerawadi). Our Uttar Pradesh chief has told me that we will contest on two seats. The remaining seats But Pallavi Patel will decide. We will fight this by-election together.”
Bharatiya Janata Party has a clear majority in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the results of the by-election will not have any impact on the state government. However, these by-elections are a close fight between Akhilesh Yadav and Yogi Adityanath. Both the leaders would like to prove that they are more powerful by making their candidates win and they will win in the upcoming elections. Even though Owaisi is contesting on two seats, UP politics has never been easy for him.
