New Delhi. The Modi government is going to give a huge gift to the devotees visiting Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib located in Uttarakhand. The Union Cabinet has cleared the construction of ropeway at Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib. 12.9 km from Sonprayag to Kedarnath and 12.4 km from Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib will be built. With the formation of ropeway, easy darshan will be available to the elderly and children along with the children. At the same time, the time of devotees will also be saved.
The biggest facility will be that the climb of Kedarnath, which takes 8 to 9 hours to complete, will be reduced to 36 minutes. The ropeway will have the capacity of 36 people to sit. The construction of the 12.9 km long rope way project of Kedarnath will cost Rs 4,081.28 crore. At the same time, a 12.4 km ropeway in Hemkund Sahib will be ready for Rs 2,730.13 crore. Also, with the formation of ropeway, connectivity will be available between Govindghat and Hemkund Sahib in every season.

Giving information about the decision of the cabinet, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the rope-way project will be completed through public and private participation. It will be made on the TRAI-cable detected Gondola (3S) technology. The ropeway will be designed in such a way that 1,800 passengers can go into it every hour (in one direction). In this way, with its construction, 18 thousand passengers will be able to avail rope-way facility daily.
Big decision on farmers also
In today’s meeting of the Modi cabinet, an important decision has also been taken regarding the above two decisions. The Central Government has set a budget of Rs 3880 crore for livestock health and prevention of disease. Under this, the two main diseases caused by animals, Khurpka-Mumbaka Disease (FMD) and brucellosis will be prevented.
