New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released the 19th installment of PM Kisan Yojana from Bhagalpur in Bihar. The PM transferred 22 thousand crore rupees to the accounts of 9.8 crore farmers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, I have told the Red Fort that there are four strong pillars of developed India- poor, farmers, youth and women power. Whether it is the NDA government at the center or the Bihar government led by CM Nitish, Kisan Kalyan is in our priority. Modi targeted Lalu Yadav and said, people who can eat animals fodder can never change these conditions. They are abusing Mahakumbh with Jungle Raj, people who irritate the Ram temple are cursing Mahakumbh.

The PM said, earlier the farmer was surrounded by crisis but the NDA government has changed this situation. In the past years, we have given hundreds of modern seeds to farmers. Earlier, the farmer eaten sticks for urea and there was black marketing of urea. Today farmers get adequate fertilizer. We did not allow farmers to lack fertilizer even in the Mahasankat of Corona. The PM asked, what would have happened if the NDA government had not been there? Had the NDA government not been there, even today farmers would have to eat sticks for fertilizer. The NDA government would not have been getting a sack of urea 3 thousand today.

Narendra Modi said, earlier when there was a flood, drought, hail, then the earlier governments used to leave the farmers on their condition. When you blessed the NDA in 2014, I said, it will not work. The NDA government formed ‘PM Crop Insurance Scheme’, under this scheme, farmers have got a claim of Rs 2 lakh crore during the disaster.

PM said, when the Congress and ‘Jungle Raj’ governments were in power, the total budget they had allocated for agriculture were much less than the budget transferred by us directly to the bank accounts of farmers. No one can do this corrupt – only the government dedicated to the welfare of farmers can do this.

Modi says, now it is the makhana of Bihar which is in focus. Makhana has become a major part of breakfast in cities across the country. Personally speaking, I eat at least 300 days out of 365 days in a year. This is a superfood that we should now take to the global markets. PM said, a big announcement has been made for the farmers and youth of Bihar in the budget. Bihar is set to emerge as a major center for the food processing industry in eastern India. A National Food Technology and Entrepreneurship Institute will be established in Bihar. In addition, three new centers of excellence in agriculture will be set up in the state, one of which will be established here in Bhagalpur.
