Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said on Sunday that Naxalites have become frustrated due to the intensity of security forces in the state. Soren and Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar laid a wreath on the body of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, who was martyred in the IED blast in West Singhbhum district.
A wreath ceremony was organized at the 133rd Battalion headquarters of CRPF to pay tribute to these martyred soldiers. Soren told reporters, “The sacrifice of CRPF jawan will not go in vain. Naxalites are desperate because the campaign against them is intensifying.
According to the police, during the anti-Naxal operation in Vanagram Marangponga forest of Chhotanagara police station area in West Singhbhum district, the 193rd Battalion Deputy Inspector Sunil Kumar Mandal and another jawan Partha Pratham were injured in the IED blast during an IED blast. Both were brought to Ranchi by air for treatment where Sub -Inspector Mandal succumbed during treatment.
