Security forces have achieved another major success against Naxalites. 1000 security forces personnel had started anti-Naxal action in the forests of Abujhmad, Chhattisgarh from Saturday night. Till the latest news is received, the security forces have succeeded in killing 4 Naxalites here. The place where security forces launched the operation against Naxalites is on the border of Dantewada and Narayanpur. Dangerous weapons like AK-47 and SLR were found with the slain Naxalites. All were wearing Naxalite uniform. Efforts to identify them are being made by the security forces and police. Dantewada DRG head constable Sannu Karam has been martyred in anti-Naxal operation. There are chances of more Naxalites being here. In such a situation, search operation is being conducted.
According to the information received from the police, intelligence was received about the presence of Naxalites in the forests of Abujhmad. On this, on January 3, DRG and STF teams from Dantewada, Jagdalpur, Narayanpur and Kondagaon were sent to the spot. 1000 soldiers of these teams had an encounter with Naxalites in the forests of Abujhmad. It is being told that the security forces had surrounded the Naxalites in their core area. There was continuous firing from both sides. After the firing stopped, the security forces recovered the bodies and dangerous weapons of the Naxalites.
In Chhattisgarh, security forces are continuously conducting operations against Naxalites. Hundreds of Naxalites were killed in this and around 1000 were arrested. Hundreds of other Naxalites have also surrendered. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that the country will be freed from the Naxal problem by the year 2026. Since then, the security forces have started attacking the Naxalites rapidly. Security forces have also been successful in effectively curbing the activities of Naxalites in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. Recently, success has been achieved in killing dozens of Naxalites in encounters at many places in Chhattisgarh.
