In recent times, security forces have conducted several operations in Chhattisgarh. Every time a large number of Naxalites have been killed in such operations. CRPF’s Cobra Commandos and DRG soldiers are trying their best to eliminate Naxalites from Chhattisgarh. As soon as the information is received, a large number of soldiers immediately reach the forests and kill the Naxalites. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already said that the country will be freed from the Naxal problem by the year 2026. There has also been a decline in Naxal affected areas in India since 2014. Now Naxalites are somewhat active only in 84 police station areas.
Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh have also been freed from the Naxalite problem to a great extent. In 2023, security forces had completely wiped out the Naxalites from an area in Bihar. At one time the Naxalite problem had become very severe. So much so that their morale became so high that all the big leaders of Congress in Chhattisgarh were killed by Naxalites. Vidyacharan Shukla was also included in these.
