Omar Abdullah’s Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has emerged as the largest party in these elections.

New Delhi: The results of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections have come. Farooq Abdullah led Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has emerged as the largest party in these elections. NC along with Congress (6 seats) has crossed the majority mark. Let us tell you that elections were held for 90 seats in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and 46 seats were required for majority. At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party has won 29 seats in these elections and is at second position. Let us tell you that even though National Conference has won the maximum number of seats, it is at second place in the state in terms of total votes.

BJP got maximum votes

Even though Bharatiya Janata Party has come second in terms of total seats, it has given its best performance in the electoral history of Jammu and Kashmir. BJP not only won 29 out of 90 assembly seats in the state, but also secured the maximum 25.64 percent votes. In terms of total votes, National Conference stood second, getting 23.43 percent votes. If we look at the numbers, BJP has got 1462225 votes and NC has got 1336147 votes. At the same time, Congress got 11.97 percent votes and PDP got 8.87 percent votes and both these parties stood third and fourth respectively. If seen this way, BJP collected more votes than the total votes of Congress and PDP.

PM Modi posted on

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while posting on The Prime Minister said in a tweet, ‘I am proud of BJP’s performance in Jammu and Kashmir. I express my gratitude to all those who voted for our party and reposed their trust in us. I assure the people that we will continue to work for the welfare of Jammu and Kashmir. I also appreciate the tireless efforts of our workers.

Amit Shah also expressed gratitude

Expressing his gratitude to the voters, Shah said, ‘The people of Jammu and Kashmir have blessed the BJP with the highest vote percentage in this assembly election and have given the BJP the highest number of seats in the history so far. For this I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Also, I congratulate all the party workers for their tireless work. Under the leadership of Modi ji, BJP is committed to the development and security of Jammu and Kashmir. Making Jammu and Kashmir terror-free and developing it like other parts of the country is the top priority of BJP.
