Bengaluru. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s troubles may increase in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority MUDA case. A man named Pradeep Kumar has filed a complaint against Siddaramaiah and others accusing them of destroying evidence in the alleged Muda land scam case. Pradeep Kumar has also named CM Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra Siddaramaiah’s son in the complaint. Pradeep Kumar has demanded registration of a case of destruction of evidence in the Muda case.
Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvati, son and others have been accused of carrying out the Muda land scam. Investigation is going on in this matter. Siddaramaiah is continuously saying that he did not commit Muda land scam. At the same time, his wife has also written a letter to Muda asking him to surrender the 14 plots she got. The allegation is that Muda had taken 3 acres and 16 guntas of land belonging to Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati. All this land was gifted to Parvati Siddaramaiah by her brother Mallikarjuna Swamy in 2010. The allegation is that Muda developed a plan without acquiring this land. In which 14 expensive plots were given to Siddaramaiah’s wife.
At the same time, Parvati asked for compensation in lieu of land acquisition. On which Muda allotted 14 plots in Vijayanagar Phase 3 and Phase 4 to Parvati Siddaramaiah. Muda is accused of allotting 38284 square feet of land to Parvati Siddaramaiah under the 50:50 scheme of the Karnataka government. Under this scheme, Muda had given those who lost their land the right to 50 percent of the developed land. This scheme was implemented in 2009 and was discontinued by the BJP government in 2020. However, the special thing is that during the BJP government in Karnataka, these 14 plots were allotted to Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati in 2021. The question is that when the scheme itself was stopped, how were the 14 plots allotted? BJP and JDS allege that Muda has committed irregularities in giving land to Siddaramaiah’s wife. The opposition is alleging that the market value of the plots in Vijayanagar given by Muda to Siddaramaiah’s wife is much higher than the land acquired. The opposition has also raised questions on the validity of the compensation.
