The Delhi Development Authority on Monday carried out a vandalism campaign at Jailorwala Bagh in Ashok Vihar slum area. Earlier, on June 11, there was a sabotage campaign in the landless camp located in Kalkaji area.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), following the directions of the High Court, issued an official notice to all the residents of the landless camp in view of the demolition of illegal huts and directed them to vacate their premises.
On June 10, the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly and AAP MLA from Kalkaji Atishi held an anti -sabotage protest in the area, after which he was taken into custody by the Delhi Police.
Atishi made a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, saying that BJP and Rekha Gupta will curse the slums.
Atishi said a day earlier, “The BJP will demolish these slums tomorrow and I am being sent to jail today because I am raising voice for these slums. BJP and Rekha Gupta will get the slums’ hi … BJP will never come back.”
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal accused the ruling BJP government of deteriorating the situation after being detained by the police (AAP) after Atishi was detained by the police during a protest against an anti -sabotage campaign in Delhi.
In a social media post on X, Kejriwal wrote, “He ruined Delhi in just three months.” On 9 June, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) issued an official notice to all the residents of the landless camp at South Delhi’s Kalkaji Extension, in which they were instructed to vacate their premises while following the upcoming demolition of illegal huts.
According to the notice, the residents have been asked to vacate the house voluntarily within three days – 8, 9 and 10 June. The notice states that if this is not done, the officials will take action to demolish.
