There have been new and shocking revelations about the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi. According to the police, Raj was the mastermind of the murder while Sonam supported him. The king’s killers planned to kill any woman and burn her body, so that she could remain hidden for a few more days by telling the body of his wife Sonam.
The police also came to know that Sonam’s lover Raj Kushwaha was the mastermind of the murder conspiracy and she was a co-script.
On the first day of interrogation of Sonam, her suspected lover Raj and three others, arrested in connection with the murder of Indore businessman, it was also found that she had run away from Meghalaya wearing a burqa and reached this city of Madhya Pradesh using various means of transport like taxi, bus and train.
Superintendent of Police of Eastern Khasi Hills District Vivek Sayam told PTI-Bhasha that the conspiracy to kill Raja was hatched in Indore just before her marriage with Sonam and has a mastermind rule, while the woman agreed to the conspiracy.
A few days after the wedding, Raja (29) and Sonam (24) came to the beautiful Sohra in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya and went missing on 23 May. On June 2, his body was found in a valley near Weisadong Falls, while Sonam’s search continued. She came out on the morning of 9 June and surrendered in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, about 1,200 km and surrendered. The police have also arrested her lover Raj Kushwaha and three others – Vishal, Akash and Anand – who was still suspected to be a betel nut.
Sayam said, “All three were friends and one of them was Raj’s cousin. It was not a general contract murder. Yes, the plan was murdered and he did so to express his favor on his friend Raj.”
He told that Raj had given him Rs 50,000 for spending. Its plan started in Indore in February and he thought how Sonam would disappear after the king’s murder.
The police officer said, “A plan was to convince people that it would flow into the river. The second plan was to kill an unknown woman and put her in a two -wheeler and burn the body and claim that it was Sonam’s body. However, no plan was successful.”
He said, “The group came a few days before the newly married couple reached Assam and he had planned to kill the king somewhere in Guwahati. When the plan did not succeed for some reason, Sonam planned to go to Shillong and Sohra and met all Nongriats as per consent.”
Sayam said that they went together for Weisadong waterfall and the three attacked the king with an ax purchased from Assam and killed her in front of Sonam between 2 pm and 2.18 pm and threw the body in a ditch.
He said, “Sonam gave her wearing raincoat to the sky as she had blood stains on her shirt. He left Visadong with a scooter and Akash later threw the raincoat because there were blood stains on him too. The SP said that he also left a two -wheeler, when the police recovered the two -wheeler, when the police came out. Took. “
He said, “Raj had given a burqa to Vishal, which she has handed over to Sonam. She wore it, police went to the market and went to Guwahati with a taxi. She from Guwahati reached Siliguri (in West Bengal) by bus. From there she went by bus to Patna and Ara and boarded the train for Lucknow. Sonam from Lucknow reached Indore.”
Meanwhile, the Meghalaya Media interacted with a tour guide, who said that he had seen Sonam and Raja with three people. Raj asked Sonam to leave Indore and go somewhere in Siliguri and described himself as a victim of kidnapping.
But on June 8, when Sonam left Indore, two police teams from Meghalaya reached UP and Madhya Pradesh in civil dress.
Sayam said, “When the first arrest (Akash) took place in Uttar Pradesh, Raj got nervous and told Sonam to call his family wherever he is, and tell them that he had escaped from the kidnapping gang. Thus the whole matter came to light in Ghazipur.”
He thought that the king’s body would not be found because he was far away and the police investigation would take one to two months. So he thought of playing the victim card.
Sayam said, “We are recording his statements. We are questioning him. Once we got a clear picture – as the accused have kept separately – we will gather evidence and reconstruct the crime site.”
The official said that he is confident that the police will file a charge sheet in the case within 90 days.
On Wednesday, all five were sent to eight days police custody. Deputy Inspector General of Police DNR Marak told PTI that the SIT investigating the murder is seeking assistance from the police of Assam and other states to connect all the evidence in the case. According to him, the police is confirming whether any of them had earlier raked the forests of Sohra and Nongriat.
