New Delhi. Railways have announced to implement new rules from July 1 to prevent fraud in Tatkal ticket booking. If you want to book Tatkal tickets from IRCTC website or app, then for this you have to do the basis of your account. That is, you will be required to give Aadhaar number in your IRCTC account. You will not be able to book Tatkal tickets from IRCTC website or app without oathing Aadhaar number. You can use both the website and the app to keep the Aadhaar number from your IRCTC account.
For this, you have to log in to the website or app. Then you have to go to My account. Here you will see authenticate user. In which you have to enter the Aadhaar number after clicking. After entering the Aadhaar number, OTP will come and after feeding it, your IRCTC account will be connected to Aadhaar. If you do not add Aadhaar number, you will not be able to book Tatkal tickets of railway from July 1. Even if the railway will go to the booking counter, then there will be an Aadhaar number for Tatkal ticket booking there. Also, OTP has been generated. Travel agents will also not be able to book Tatkal tickets without Aadhaar Authentication.
The Railways has also decided that no travel agent will be able to book Tatkal tickets for half an hour of immediate booking. That is, after the instant booking for AC class starts at 10.30 am and at 11 am for the sleeper class at 11.30 am, the travel agents will be able to book Tatkal tickets at 11.30 am. Railways have also decided that now up to 25 percent waiting list tickets will be issued in every category reservation. So that passengers have less difficulty in getting the reserve seat. In such a situation, railway ticket booking is going to bring a radical change from July 1. So that the difficulty of passengers can be minimized. Please tell that on the issue of Tatkal ticket booking, the Railways was constantly getting complaints that the tickets are finished as soon as the booking starts. In such a situation, it was decided to implement the new rule.
