New Delhi. The countrymen are going to get the gift of 11 Vande Bharat Express trains and the country’s first Vande Metro train at once. PM Narendra Modi will flag off these Vande Bharat Express and Vande Bharat Metro trains today and on Monday. Many of these Vande Bharat Express trains are being given to UP and West Bengal. Bihar and Odisha are also going to get the gift of new Vande Bharat Express trains. At the same time, the first Vande Metro train will run in Gujarat.
The new Vande Bharat Express trains that PM Modi is going to flag off include Tatanagar-Patna via Bokaro and Koderma, Bhagalpur-Howrah via Dumka, Gaya-Howrah, Brahmapur-Tatanagar, Vaidyanath Dham-Varanasi, Rourkela-Howrah via Gaya, Nawada and Sasaram, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Tundla, Etawah, Agra Cantt-Varanasi via Kanpur and Prayagraj, Raipur-Visakhapatnam, Pune-Hubli, Varanasi-New Delhi via Lucknow and Prayagraj. The first Vande Metro train will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. PM Modi will flag off the first 6 Vande Bharat Express trains during his visit to Tatanagar in Jharkhand. He will flag off other Vande Bharat Express and Vande Metro trains during his visit to Gujarat.
This is the first time that PM Modi will flag off such a large number of Vande Bharat Express trains in two consecutive days. PM Modi is also giving the first Vande Metro train as a gift to the people of Gujarat. 1150 passengers will be able to travel in this Vande Metro train by sitting and 2058 passengers by standing. Vande Metro train will run 5 days a week. The lowest fare of the fully air-conditioned Vande Metro has been kept at Rs 30. PM Modi wants that the public should get the option of traveling through high speed trains. Due to this thinking, Vande Bharat Express trains are being started continuously. By the end of this year, Vande Bharat Express train with sleeper coach is also expected to start. This will enable long distance travel. Currently, Vande Bharat Express trains are run only for a distance of 700-800 km. Due to this, passengers get only seating arrangement in them.
