New Zealand PM welcomed in India.
New Delhi: New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon arrived on a five -day visit to India on Sunday to strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations. Luxon will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Modi on Monday and will attend the inaugural session of ‘Raisina Dialogue’ as the chief guest. Prior to the Modi-Luxon talks, the two countries announced to launch talks for a wide and mutually beneficial India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement.
India told important countries
Let me tell you that shortly after reaching the national capital Delhi, the Prime Minister of New Zealand described India as a “very important” country for the prosperity, security and society of New Zealand. He wrote on ‘X’, “India provides a huge economic opportunity for the people of New Zealand. That is why I have come here and I have brought a senior delegation of business and community leaders with me. “A few days before the visit, the Prime Minister of New Zealand said that he would try to share a comprehensive economic partnership with India and seek ways to strengthen bilateral security relations.
Tour of India till 20 March
Union Minister S.K. at Delhi Airport P. Singh Baghel welcomed Luxon. The delegation with the Prime Minister of New Zealand includes ministers, MPs, veteran industrialists and some prominent people of the Indian community. Luxon as Prime Minister has come to India from 16 to 20 March on his first visit to India. Lakson said last week, “I want to make a more comprehensive economic partnership and see how we can pursue it.” He said, “I am committed that we will bring a big change in business relations with India.”
India important strength in the Indian region
The Prime Minister of New Zealand also described India as a “important” power in the Indo-Pacific region. Luxon stated that traveling with a business delegation will help increase business and business opportunities and will promote New Zealand as an investment destination. Luxon will also visit Mumbai from 19 to 20 March before returning to Wellington. (Input-PTI)
