New Delhi. A big revelation has come to light in the case of threatening to bomb 400 schools in Delhi. Delhi Police has found a minor child as a suspect in this case. Special CP Madhup Tiwari said on Monday that threatening e-mails were sent to schools from the laptop and mobile of this child. Police said that since February 12 last year, Delhi schools were continuously receiving hoax calls and fake threatening e-mails. Recently, the last threat was sent on January 8, 2025, after which the minor could be identified after a thorough investigation. This was revealed in the forensic examination of the child’s laptop and mobile.
NGO and Afzal Guru Connection
The shocking thing is that the minor’s father is related to an NGO which has been opposing the hanging of terrorist Afzal Guru. Police say that this NGO is also a supporter of a political party. Police have started investigating this NGO and its political connections.

studies were interrupted several times
Special CP Madhup Tiwari said, “Since February 14, 2024, schools were continuously receiving threatening e-mails. Due to these mails, studies in many schools were disrupted, there was confusion regarding the safety of students, and many times schools had to be closed.” According to the police, the accused sent the mails through VPN using advanced technologies, which delayed the investigation. Police believe that the purpose of the threats is not just to cancel the exam, but could be part of a bigger conspiracy.
Investigation continues on larger conspiracy
The Special CP said, “The e-mail was sent at a time when examinations were not being conducted in schools. This could be a sign that there is a bigger conspiracy behind this. We are also investigating whether any political party could have any involvement in this.” Delhi Police also said that the threats being received by airlines on social media and fake mails sent to schools may be linked. Intensive investigation is going on in both these cases.
Preliminary investigation is still going on
Police said that the matter is in the preliminary investigation stage and a thorough investigation is being conducted to find out the NGO’s funding, political connections and the real motive behind sending the mail.
