Terrorists associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed are accused of spreading their ideology among the youth. According to NIA sources, these Jaish people work to brainwash the youth and connect them with radicalism and terrorist activities. Till the time of writing the news, information was not received whether NIA has arrested any accused in the latest raid or not, but the simultaneous raids at 19 locations in 5 states are being considered as a major action of the investigating agency. The raids on such a large scale also indicate that the NIA has strong evidence.
Maulana Masood Azhar is the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed and lives in Pakistan.
The chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed is Pakistani citizen Mohammad Masood Azhar. Recently, India has once again demanded the extradition of Mohammad Masood Azhar from Pakistan. Masood Azhar was released from Jammu and Kashmir jail during the Kandahar plane hijacking case. Since then he has been living in Pakistan. Mohammad Masood Azhar has been threatening India many times from Pakistan’s soil. He kept releasing these threats in audio. However, there is no trace of Masood Azhar for a long time. Masood Azhar’s Jaish-e-Mohammed had also carried out terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and many other places in the country. After the terrorist attack in Uri, there was a surgical strike on Jaish’s hideouts in PoK on the instructions of the Modi government. At the same time, after the 2019 Pulwama attack, the Indian Air Force carried out an air strike on Jaish’s hideout, killing dozens of terrorists.
