The National Investigation Agency of the country has arrested 3 people from Karnataka and Kerala. The NIA suspects that these three accused are involved in the Visakhapatnam espionage case related to Pak ISI. The NIA took this action on Tuesday with the help of local police. The NIA suspects that these three were in touch with the Pakistan Intelligence Operations and were sharing them sensitive information related to the country.
Where is the arrest?
According to the information received, the NIA along with the police team on Tuesday arrested Vethan Laxman Tandel and Akshay Ravi Naik from North Kannada district of Karnataka. At the same time, Abhilash P.A. He was arrested from Kochi, Kerala. So far, the NIA has made a total of 8 arrests in this case. The three accused men arrested were in touch with Pakistan Intelligence Operations (PIOs) through social media.
Sensitive information was sending Pakistan
According to the NIA investigation, he was sharing sensitive information about Indian defense installations on the Karwar Navy Base and Kochi Navy Base and was earning money from PIOs in exchange for information. The NIA has so far filed a charge sheet against 5 people including two absconding Pakistani operatives. The case was originally registered under Section 120B and 121A, UA (P) Act under Section 17 and 18 of the IPC and Section 3 of the official privacy act in January 2021.

NIA investigation revealed that Pakistani citizen Mir Balaj Khan, along with arrested accused Akash Solanki, was included in the detective racket related to the leaks of sensitive important information related to the Indian Navy under the anti -India conspiracy. Apart from Mir Balaj and Solanki, the NIA has filed a charge sheet against another absconding PIO in the case, whose identification has been known as Alven, NIA, who started the investigation of this case in June 2023, Manmohan Surendra Panda and Aman Salim Sheikh was arrested in June 2023.
