New Delhi. On Monday, November 11, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a massive search operation across the country against suspects associated with the terrorist organization Al Qaeda. Under this operation, NIA raided nine places including Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, West Bengal, Bihar, Tripura, Assam. This action of NIA is being considered an important step in the country’s security and efforts to combat terrorism. During the raid, many digital devices, banking documents and important evidence were recovered, which exposed the case of terror funding.
Accused of being linked to Al Qaeda network
According to the NIA, the suspects detained during the raid are said to be linked to the Bangladesh-based Al Qaeda network. The aim of this network was to instigate Indian youth towards radical ideology and inspire them to engage in terrorist activities. This NIA operation is related to a case registered in 2023, in which it was alleged that the suspects were responsible for funding terrorist activities.

Big disclosure of terror funding
During the raid, NIA has seized several digital devices, including mobile phones and other digital documents. Evidence of terror funding from Bangladesh has been found in the banking documents recovered from them. NIA claims that these documents have revealed the contacts of the suspects with Bangladeshi citizens, through which the funds were being brought into India. Evidence related to mobile data and bank transactions obtained in the investigation also points towards terror funding network.
Conspiracy to instigate Indian youth
NIA has said in its statement that the suspects were trying to attract youth in India towards terrorist ideology along with funding Al Qaeda. Many citizens of Bangladesh are also allegedly involved in this conspiracy, who were inspiring Indian youth to adopt extremist thinking.

Important step of NIA
In this operation, NIA had also filed a charge sheet in November last year, in which the names of four Bangladeshi citizens and an Indian citizen Farid were also included. The evidence collected by the NIA makes it clear that the accused had organized a network of funding for terrorist activities. This action of NIA not only strengthens India’s security, but also shows the country’s commitment against terrorism.
