New Delhi. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has now taken a big relief for him, taking care of journalists. The Chief Minister has announced to increase the monthly pension amount given to eligible journalists from Rs 6 thousand to Rs 15,000 under the Journalist Samman Pension Scheme. Along with this, the government has also announced that after the death of a pension journalist, its dependent will get 10 thousand rupees every month instead of 3 thousand. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself has given information in this regard on his social media post.
CM wrote, I am happy to say that under Bihar Journalist Samman Pension Scheme, now the pension amount of all eligible journalists has been increased to 15 thousand per month. In the event of his death, the dependent spouse has been instructed to give a pension amount of Rs 10 thousand instead of Rs 3 thousand per month. Journalists have an important role in democracy. He is the fourth pillar of democracy and has an important role in social development. We are taking care of the facilities of journalists from the beginning so that they can do their journalism in fairness and live their lives in a respectable manner after retirement.
Earlier, Nitish Kumar has already announced an increase in the pension amount of widow women with old and disabled. While giving relief to the general public, the CM has recently announced to provide electricity up to 125 units. Apart from this, 35 percent reservation has also been applied to the native women of the state in the state government jobs, earlier women of any state used to get the benefit of this reservation. But now this facility is only for women of Bihar.
