Bhubaneswar: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has condemned the incident of assault with students during the political event being organized in the presence of Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar Azad at Utkal University in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. In a statement, ABVP has said that ‘Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad strongly condemns the incident of assault and deteriorating educational environment by the external mob present in the program. No educational institution should be intervened by external political elements. ‘
‘All allegations are false and baseless’
Reversing Chandrashekhar Azad’s allegations, ABVP said, ‘No worker of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is involved in the clash between Chandrashekhar Azad, crowds and others with him at the educational institution of Odisha. All the allegations made by Chandrashekhar Azad on the social media handle ‘X’ by a post are false and baseless. They want to pierce the assault with the students of the university by such allegations on the incident of violence. ‘Educational institutions are not political arena’
Responding to Azad’s allegations, National General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said that it is very important to maintain the dignity of educational institutions. Solanki said, ‘Educational institutions are not a political arena. The way Chandrashekhar Azad led by Chandrashekhar Azad assaulted the students and corrupted the university environment, it is unfortunate and condemnable. Some media portals based on Chandrashekhar Azad’s social media posts are broadcasting news of false allegations on the Vidyarthi Parishad without confirmation, this is unfortunate.
‘Why was political program allowed?’
ABVP Odisha East Provinces Province Minister Deeptimayi Pratihari said that the continuous positive movements of the Vidyarthi Parishad in Odisha have given a remarkable direction to the education sector and youth issues. He said, “On the other hand there are some negative powers that want to use the educational institutions of Odisha for their insignificant interests. Why the political program was allowed at Utkal University in Odisha should be investigated. The government will have to ensure that no incident of violence can be done by anti -social elements in educational institutions of Odisha.
